Your donations at work…

Tuesday’s 7th grade marine science field trip to the Langley Marina was made possible by a classroom grant from the South Whidbey Schools Foundation. Teachers and Whidbey Watershed Stewards showed students how to conduct several water measurements, identify marine organisms, and discussed how they relate to the health of our local marine ecosystem.

Schools Foundation Awards $23,550 in Classroom Grants

South Whidbey Schools Foundation announced $23,550 for innovative teaching grants October 30 to be used for this school year. “Of 26 grant application submitted by South Whidbey School District educators, the Foundation was able to fully fund 15 projects, partially fund five projects, and found alternative funding for 4 more projects,”” said Foundation president Chris …
